fusion2

fusion2 is a training company for young, dedicated dancers looking to experience movement and teamwork within the context of a semi-professional dance company. fusion2 was formed in 1995 by Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center teacher Jennifer Wheat and is now currently directed by Gabrielle Wright. By participating in fusion2, upper-level students at the Gwendolyn Bye Dance Center have the unique opportunity to broaden their education in dance and leadership through rigorous technical training, performance, and community outreach.  

Drawing a diverse group of talent from across the Philadelphia area, this junior company is comprised of dancers looking to study a variety of classical and contemporary techniques. Dancers perform choreography in several disciplines including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop.  

fusion2 has performed in some small and large capacities across the greater Philadelphia area. fusion2 has performed in community centers, schools, hospitals, and senior care facilities in Philadelphia. fusion2 has also performed in the following festivals and venues:

fusion2 has participated in teaching residencies with Dancefusion and has been presented at 2000 feet: a Celebration of World Dance, the Dragon Boats Festival, World Dance Day and Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival, The Porch at 30th Street Station, and Summer Educational Series at The Mann Center
